Shameless request for a $5 charitable donation.
I'm doing a bicycle ride for ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) next Saturday. The whole point is to raise money for research. I really detest asking folks for money.
$5.00 is all I ask, but more would be appreciated of course.
The group is a collection of virtual friends via another forum. I have met a couple in real life and I am looking forward to meeting the others for the first time. We are coming in from all over the US (NY, WI, WA, AZ, GA, NC)

We are just short of our revised goal (originally $5000). We get a free bicycling jersey if we reach $500.
Additional small request: Jack and Helen are youth riders and it sure would be cool if they got a jersey.
