I am very fortunate to have a company truck, its a 2012 chevy 1500,reg cab long bed. I won't. Complain to my boss however I will let you guys hear it. First off, The v6 had NO power. On a 2 lane with the cruise set at 65 or so its constantly downshifting, and gets 14 mpg. The intirior is uncomfortable and the road noise is very loud. The plastic under the armrest on the door has already broke twice and pokes my arm and ia annoying to say the least. The biggest complaint I have is that there is a driveline clunk that has been there and getting worse since day one. I brought it up at every oil change and was always told it was normal. Well today they had a mechanic go for aa. Ride with me and got it to clunk real loud several times and still was told told that it is normal.now I have never drove a base ford but this base chevy sux............

When I was looking for a new work truck back in 2009, I drove a base-model Chevy in a regular cab-short box configuration that had the V6 in it and I thought it was fairly peppy. In fact, when I first took it down the road I thought it had to have a V8 in it!
After looking around for a few weeks and considering quite a few different options, I ended up going with a new extended cab Ranger with the 4.0 V6 primarily because of my good luck with past Ford products and the fact that my previous Ranger had served me so well -- so well, in fact, that I still use it on almost a daily basis.....

While shopping for my '10 XLT, I stopped at the local Chevy dealer to scope out the Silverado's.
Silverado's di-int impress me so I wandered over to the Avalanche.
55,000$ for an interior that looked really CHEEZY!!.
Plastic all over the exterior and even more plastic inside.
Sides that, Avalanche's aren't really pick-ups. The bed is part of the body of the vehicle.
Pretty much a joke, I thunk.
My XLT with the same options except for the leather seats, (which I don't care for, anyhow) cost about 20,000$ less and is a REAL truck.
