There were a lot of great games yesterday.

Happy to see Peyton Manning and Adrian Peterson both looking strong in their comeback games.

The 49er's simply handled the Packers. That game was not as close as the score.

Before the Lions go anywhere, they are going to have to learn how to dominate and win a game from start to finish -- not play down to the level of their competition for 3-1/2 quarters and then rely on some miracle to squeak-it-out at the end.

First game jitters, but the Lions pre 2010 wouldnt have been able to win. Went to the playoffs last year for the first time since '99. We are gonna go to the NFC championship at least this year. The roar has been restored.

Which isn't possible when games go like last night when my 49ers handed it to them hard. Lions in NFC championship? LOL okay. So many teams last year/this year relied on a heavy throwing offense to carry them through (Green Bay, New Orleans, Detroit etc). You need to play defense too, folks.

Not surprising - some people are saying that SF could go all the way this year. They do look good. I almost shat my skivvies when Akers kicked that 63 yarder last week.

May be time to get rid of him in my fantasy league, but the only QB available worth a crap is Vick, and I don't trust him as far as I can throw him. At least I also have Flacco, who I started this week. Lost by 2 points, I would have won big if I had started the Bears defense instead of Seattle.

Same old Lions -- more dysfunction than you can shake a stick at.
