Thinking of expanding my Ford family

Hi everyone I'm looking to expand my ford family and was wondering if anybody has a Ford Edge. Don't know much about them and didn't know if anyone has one or has family that has one. Just looking for problems to look for and also real life mpg. Will stay with just the FWD version. Any help or comments welcome.
Thanks Cruiser

I don't own one, but have had one several times as a rental car and each time I really enjoyed the vehicle! The thing I liked best was that the dimensions of the car made for excellent storage room, yet it was still easy to see out-of-and-around the vehicle as you were driving down the highway.

This stands in stark contrast to the Freestyle/Taurus X, which always made me feel as if I was driving down the road in a long narrow tube that I could barely see out of.....

We just bought one about 10 months ago. So far so good. It has the 3.5L 265hp v6. Leather, AWD...
My biggest complaint is the road noise and wind chopping when you open the back window. The brakes are not the best either. You can find the same complaints just about everywhere. The road noise can be fixed upgraded shocks, bushings etc which mine is due for soon anyway. So well see if that makes a difference. Brakes can also be upgraded. The wind chop from the windows... nothing you can do about it that I know of.

Other than that, it handles very very well in snow, ice, rain and rutted highways. We have been averaging 20-24mpg and I am not much of a light foot. Overall happy with it. Lots of head room, seats 5 comfortably and plenty of cargo space for me.
