CPG file conversion
CPG file conversion
ok guys, i need a little help from some apple gurus.
to make it simple, the wife got a whole bunch of files from a friend. her friend has a mac (and we a PC) and all these files are in some kind of mac format. there are a few PDF's mixed in that we can open.
the file formats are as follows.
.CPGZ (i managed to unzip this one to a CPG but still cant open it)
.DOCX
.PPTX
.XLSX
i am familiar with the doc, ppt, xls extensions. i tried to unzip (with winzip) the docx, xlsx, pptx extensions thinking i could open it with office and it was a no go.
any ideas?
i tried looking for a file converter, and gave up.
i would like to convert all the CPG's to PDF if possible, and the DOCX to regular DOC if possible.

DOCX, XLSX, and PPTX are just newer versions of MS Office docs. If you have an old version of office, they will not open. Do a search in google for "docx to doc", "pptx to ppt", and "xlsx to xls" and you will find multiple free convertors. Do the same for "cpg to jpg" to get a convertor for them.
The "X" extension Office files are native to Office 2007 and newer. If you have Office 2000 or newer, you can open them if you install the Office Compatibility Pack.
