A few years ago I was attending a local indoor track on a daily basis. After just a few weeks of driving there I was snagging up daily, weekly and sometimes monthly lap records. I think around the time I quit going I was somewhere in the top 10 for overall track times on their old track layout. At one point I was asked to join their team which included some national and world champion drivers. After sitting in on the first meeting and not knowing anything at all about karts, I decided it wasnt for me to be a part of something that big.

Like I said, it's been a few years. I found myself back there again. And enjoying it just as much as I did before, if not more. I plan on expanding my driving to some other local tracks this year. If I didnt work full time and have a family I would consider joining a league. Just don't have the time to do that right now though with the kids being so young.

Wondering if anyone else races Karts that might be able to shed some light on the subject. I honestly know nothing about them other than that for some reason I am pretty natural at driving them and like to do it.

I'm even thinking about buying one. They arent cheap though. Was looking at a 125cc 2 stroke crg shifter kart for around 3k.
