The Mopar Ram Runner isn't from factory though is it?

Both a sweet trucks...but I'd say the Raptor looks a lot better. May be outperformed in that environment but the ram runner just looks to goofy for something I'd want to drive everyday.

Not gonna lie, that ram looked like it handled a bit better. More travel and seems to flow nicer.

I think the Raptors front suspension could be firmed up a bit. The Ram is not a stock truck its a kit. Take any 4x4 half ton new Dodge buy the kit and there ya go. The Raptor could use a beefier front end spring shock combo. It was ultimately built mostly for street use as it sold stock that way.. Easy to make it so the Ram couldnt touch it off road and all.. Just a few parts.. Maybe Ford Motorsports should come up with a simular kit..

I like the Raptor for looks and ram for performance. If the raptor had more ground clearance it might be a diffrent story

My thoughts - since the Ram is a kit, it is allowed to perform better. The Raptor, being a "stock" truck, has to post all info on the window sticker, including mpg. I would think that if they were to add more lift to the F150, they'd need bigger tires to make it look right. Bigger tires = more fuel. Ford probably doesn't want to put anything less than the already-low 16 mpg rating on their windows (it was 14 mpg in 2011) in the fuel-economy-savvy economy we're in at the present.

I'm disappointed on this video. I thought ford made these raptors tough. Didn't they say that you could buy it from ford and enter it in a baja race? Just by this video the truck doesn't look like it would do so well.

It's just springs in the front. Anyone can throw on a set of those springs that the dodge was running and do the same thing. If that's all it takes, then your an easy sell.

I tell you what tho, if I had a raptor, I wouldn't be pounding on it quite like that lol.

You can get kits for the Raptor as well. I like the Hennessy kit myself. Screw that beating it to death crap. It can take a beating sure, but come on....

I think somebody is purposely trying to make the Raptor look bad with that vid.

Lets see what the OEM Dodge will do against the Raptor. Same track. That Dodge was set up to run that track and it's just a spring/dampening change.

Its so much more than springs and shock valving. The Ram Runner has 3" shocks, the Raptor has 2.5", they are night and day from each other.

Im guessing the point of the video was to show that an aftermarket built truck will perform better than a factory built one. I do like the look of the Raptor more, but factory will never compare to aftermarket when it comes to offroad suspension.

This is what the Raptor needs>>> http://www.bajakits.com/long-travel-...-race-kit.html

Then reshoot the video and then see how the dodge does....
