Maybe He Will Trade. Whatcha Think?
Just got done replacing the driver side rear door on this 2011 f-250. I really like this color. Color code UH Tuxedo Black Metallic. Tried to get an up close pic of the fender so you could see the heavy metallic in the paint. I was thinkin about asking if he would trade straight up for my f-150.

And here is a R/T Challenger we repaired and refinished the driver door. The owner of the car is very easy on the eyes also
Unfortunately I could not get a picture of her also without seeming like a perv

One of the guys I worked with at Fort Hood, had a new model F150 with the Tuxedo Black he ordered on accident. I agree that's a slick color, made my 11 year old black paint look like faded doodge paint.
.....nice looking car though...
Normally I wouldn't care either way. When I am representing the company I have to have a little class so as to ensure I get a paycheck next pay period
I'll keep your shop in mind -- I may need to repaint my Snug Top fiberglass tonneau cover one of these days because of a small nick that drives me crazy every time I look at it.......

It most certainly is.
In many cases you dont even need to blend adjacent panels when painting a complete panel. The truck required a blend operation to the front door and rear cab side panel due to the heavy metallic in the finish. This ensures a nice uniform pattern and keeps the human eye from telling the difference between the freshly painted and blended panels.

not so much in the case of tuxedo black. love that color. I'm on my 3rd Ford in 13 months in the same color
So this one was a little more tricky.
These Rav 4's are weird. What you see as the rear gate isnt actually the rear gate. There are 4 plastic trim panels that cover the outside of the gate. A LT & RT upper and a LT & RT lower. Then you have the spare tire cover in the center.
The lower LT & RT trim panels were damaged but repairable. Rear spare cover needed replaced as it broke the tabs on the back. Spare tire cover comes pre painted. So we had to paint match the lower trim on the gate and bumper cover to the prepainted spare cover and the old trim panels above...

Also there was a previous repair to that rear cover. You can see in the first photo how the paint just flaked off the bumper in large chunks. It is not supposed to do that. The paint should stay intact and deform with the bumper. The reason that happened is either due to poor prep, not using a Flex additive in the paint or a combo of both.
