Loosing a Pet...

I think this is one of the hardest things I've had to deal with. My Alaskan Malamute passed away from a sudden disease none of us knew she had. I can't remember the name of it because I don't know which way is up or down now, but It broke down the platelets in her blood, so she bled internally. Looking at her leash, seeing her bed empty, animals do take over your heart and soul. I already miss her more than words can express......

Sorry for the loss. It's funny how deeply those fuzz ***** can get attached to your heart.

Alot of us have been there, and understand what you are going through.

Again sorry for the loss of your pal.

I haven't had a dog in years, but my family had our share back when I was growing up as a kid. Most of ours met a rather untimely demise that usually involved my mother backing over them with her Oldsmobile......

I'm feeling for you, lost one of my Aussies in August to cancer, 15 years old. Now, I have a 14.5 year old with bladder cancer. Sometimes, when I lay down to sleep, I see his face when he was put to sleep. I have to walk it off for a few hours. Put her things in a group so you can remember her from time to time, it will help relieve the pain. You treated her well and she went out knowing you loved her.............

I know the feeling man. It sucks but that is life. I remember my kitty growing up. He was the best companion in life. He would fall asleep on my chest and drool in his sleep. You could tell by the tone of his meow if he wanted to cuddle on the couch, wanted food, or wanted to go outside. Used to wait for me at the top of the stairs waiting for bed time. Just an awesome companion. Sorry for your loss.

Thanks guys, I'm glad I am not crazy. This morning was pretty hard not going for the morning walk.... Time to save up for a pup, and start making new memories.

Yup.. it's tough. We had to put down one of our cats the day after Christmas a few years ago. We had gone away to a cabin in the mountains, had an ice storm, lost power for 4 days and almost froze to death. We thought the worst was behind us until we got home and found him. He was trying to get inside one of the bathroom cabinets so he could pass on. We took him to the vet, and there was nothing they could do. They made him comfortable and we got to hold him while they gave him the injections. My wife had him and his brother since they were 5 days old.. bottle fed them in a shoe box while she was at work.. as i sit here typing this up, starting to tear up a little..
Those little varmits sure do find a place in your heart... sorry for your loss.
