iphone 5 anyone?
Android issues = Operator error.
iPhones are alright, I will give credit where credit is due. They are super easy to pick up and be fluent in it's use within a very short time for the majority of society.
My bro in law is a huge Apple fan. Every time he tries bragging about something the iPhone does I show him my Droid Incredible 2 can do it. If he finds a cool app, I hop on 4Shared and get the Android equivalent. Free.
With his company running all Apple products it is beneficial for him to use iPhones. The instant syncing of documents/files/etc between his iPhone, iPad and Macbook Air is awesome. He also loses quite a few phones to law enforcement because of his job and being able to hop on a computer, remotely wipe his old phone, then go grab a new iPhone and sync everything right back up without missing a beat is priceless to him and his company.
As soon as the 5 drops he will be getting one and I can get some first hand experience. My guess is it will be very similar to the 4s and behind the newest Android based phone in features/hardware.

I have an Epic 4G Touch (Galaxy SII Sprint variant) that I'm loving more and more every day. The ability to root and throw different roms on the phone is great. I'm not a huge iOS fan regarding the phones, but I love my iPad, including the new one coming out this week.
Not necessarily. I've seen plenty of ****ty Android phones that come half baked from the factory. My one gripe with Android is how convoluted the whole OS is. Menus buried within menus.. I really wish WebOS had taken off. THAT was a beautiful OS, but with ****ty hardware.
Heck -- I just upgraded to a phone that has a keyboard on it for texting versus the numeric keypad on my old one! I'd say I'm still a decade or so away from surfing the internet on my phone.....
The scary thing is, compared to my wife, I'm like Steve Jobs when it comes to information technology.....

I agree apple is probably more user friendly right off the bat but I always felt like Apple was "big brother" or something with the way they control everything. Not that I am a big tech geek and trying to jailbreak it but something about the feel of the company I just don't like. We have a couple of iPod touch and have had the 3S iPhone.
I had a Palm Pre plus with the WebOS and that was wonderful. Felt just like using my pc for the most part other than the small screen.
Currently I have a Motorolla Atrix II and the wife has the Samsung Galaxy S2, We also had a Samsung Galaxy Tablet. The Android software works great but isn't quite as user friendly. I also have yet to pay for an app. So far everything I need on Android has been free.
The larger screen is something I have really come to love though. The iPhone 5 would have to be bigger before I would even consider it.

i'm debateing getting the Iphone or getting and Ipad 2 and changing the way i do accounting to the Ipad instead of using my desktop. That way I could do invoices at the job and all.. I'm going to get one of them so I can take credit cards.
I still have the Droid 2. This was my first smart phone. I have liked it alot, but it does have the typical android issues, which i hate. I love the android layout, and love opera mobile even more. I know iphone has opera available, but it is the opera mini not mobile.
My brain does not compute.
I'm more of a traditionalist, meeself.
Hell, I still prefer vinyl - you can stick yer stoopid MP3's yall-know-where .. just awful fidelity!
I don't need:
A camera
A vidya device
A music player
Web access
Texting
6-month lifecycle throwaway tech lunacy
What I DO need is a basic phone .. y'know, to make, ummm .. phone calls? Remember those?
Hence, I'll be stickin' with what I have ... I likes me a handset I can actually hold on to, without keepin' yer silly pinky raised like some rump-ranger. Manly, aye!
