New mother picks up and suckles her son,

And which is an illusion?
Piracy!

Oh man! Wasn't trying to take credit for this, but I can see how it looks that way. I should have credited them after the title.

Yes, Moody Blues are just brilliant.

Pirate was just reflecting on a good one. Not even going to say what else that tune reminds me of, or why it does. Not here anyway lol.

Here's one, guys. It's rough, as I feel emotional/introspective tonight. I'll polish it up later, but the rough draft...

Beautiful Distraction

To me, it felt real;
The emotions we passed.
Now, I see things for their true weight.

The nights of passionate verbiage,
The days of holding and squeezing
You...
You were biding your time.
Waiting to rebuild your family.

Not leading me on,
As much as letting me hang myself
With my own rope.
You knew the endgame
And the pain it would cause...
Yet you selfishly played me.

You let me be your beautiful distraction.

The Brewskabobinator

The Brewskabobinator

All you NooB dudes perusing this forum
Had better learn quickly the proper decorum
For addressing some members with special needs
Senior and brilliant but restrictive in creed

A Cracker named 'Brew sits on his stool
Polishing everything within reach of his tools
A deeper parts bin would be hard to manage
An encyclopedic knowledge resides in his cabbage

The most sensitive feller on this site
And like glc must always be right
If challenged he quickly descends into funk
Which to most folks resembles a drunk

His foil and anchor it's so plain to see
Is a Very fine feller named ol' DewserB
As gifted a Gentleman as yer likely to find
He revels in ***-kicking ol' Brewskie's behind

Give 'Brew a problem, a dog with a bone
He'll worry that thang, won't leave it alone
While talking to himself he devises a plan
You'd better agree, or take body slams

Yet some things simply do not make much sense
This fixation on Volant, and Amsoil f'rinstance
Despite contrary factual evidence available
To fiction and folly he clings, inflexible

Despite foibles and quirks we must give thanks
We have 'Brew, Steve, Big D and Code in our ranks
This site's strengths are it's Members, not Admin nor IB
We Must ALL thank our Sponsors for keeping it free.
