Gb150 is correct about texas

20% of your gross for 1

25% for 2

30% for 3, this is the max.

there used to be a cap of $75k a yearm, dont know if there still is. meaning the most you would pay for 1 is $1250 per month. also means that a guy that makes $75k and a guy that make $250k, pay the same child support.

A word of advice, if you are paying under these numbers, dont rock the boat and just pay, if she takes you to court then you have lawyer and court cost and you will pay more. court does not care what her current husband makes or how they spend the money, so have a beer and complain to a buddy.
unfortunately, being stupid or selfish is not agianst the law.

also dont rag on the kid about it either, they didnt ask for the situation and absolutley noone like to here anyone run ttheir mother down.

Way back in 1993 thru 2000, I paid $1,550 monthly.

No matter what is paid, it's never enough. Every parent wants their kids to have it better than they did when they were growing up. It's only natural.

Like the Judge wonst said to me: "Shut up, Nut up and pay it or go to jail."

I 'nutted up' real quick.

My CS payments ended in 2004 but then of my own free will, I helped with their higher education costs, cuz every parent wants their children to have it better than they did when growing up. It's only natural.

Least I got all of my Union Carpenter's pension...........ex doesn't see a dime of that money

17% of my gross - with just 1 1/2 more years to go. And the last payment will be delivered to the ex's house in dimes - in the back of a dump truck. Should be a pretty good media event. I wonder if anyone (like me) might capture and share the video. After all, it'll be pretty tasteless.

It's all part of the deal.. My wife got child support for my step son. She didnt go after the kids dad until he was 12 or so. Then when we got it we had it direct deposited into an account the kid had access to and he got to spend every cent of it. Dirt bike cloths whatever he got every cent. I made sure it worked like that. We didnt need the money. He got the minimum for the state of New york where he was born at that time it was around $200 a month. Next to nothing really. The old lady thought about going after back but I stopped her. The guy barely survives and all.. He doesn't even know I did that..

That's a great idea, might suggest it to my wife once the kids are a couple years older.

i have a bunch of young guys that work for me, i try to tell them

$500 a month = $6000 per year x 18 years = $108,000 think about it.

if you make $75k or more $1250 per month = $15,000 a year x 18 years = $270,000.

i dont care who you are that is some money.

why arent there public commercials on tv stating the obvious?

my next favorite thing is couples with a bad marraige having a baby to make things better....... fire meet gasoline.
