Free cowling
Hey all its been a long time since I been around but I thought I would drop in and pass this on.
I had to get a new windshield last week. When the tech came out to do the install he mentioned that I should get the cowling replaced and that insurance would take care of it since i had glass coverage. I thought he was blowing smoke since the cowling has nothing to do with the glass. Well one week later he showed back up with a new windshield, new cowling and the molding that runs from the windshield to the back of the cab. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me. So next time you get your windshield replaced ask about getting the cowling as well.

It runs from the cowling up the windshield all the way to the rear of the cab on both sides. I guess rain gutters would be a good way to describe it.

I wonder what the reasoning for replacing the cowl is. Probably something along the lines of the cowl must be removed to replace the W/S and the retainers break and can not be re-used. Insurance companies dont just pay for that kind of stuff without there being a reason to replace it. I would like to find out.
