You might have better luck looking here or in the 09-12 section.

I'm pretty sure there have been a ton of 3V 5.4s that have been blown. They guys above should be able to give you the ins and outs.

Thanks for the reply Wookie. I am new to the Forum, but I have looked at the thread you have suggested prior to my question. I don't seem to be able to find a definitive answer or a post from anyone who has actually fitted an Edelbrock blower to their vehicle. The part number is 1583 with part number 15834 because my vehicle is 4 wheel drive. It is a 2010 Platinum ( black ) which has been converted to right hand drive. I love it, you guys don't know how cheap you buy these vehicles in the US. This one cost me around $120,000 AU, but a common Toyota Safari would have cost the same. Give me the F truck any day. I've owned a 1979 F100 4 wheel drive short wheel base since near new and it still turns heads and still runs like a clock. I can't part with it but a bit more comfort is needed in my old age!

the edelbrock kit is fine for out of the box basic performance, but if you ever plan on more power down the road then purchase a kit worth your effort

Thanks fellas, I have had a quote on a whipple, it is about $1000 cheaper but the suppliers are not 100% sure if there is a kit made for the 2010 F150. I live 400 klm from Perth in Western Australia and most of this stuff is sourced in the eastern states of Australia ( if one can get it at all ) so if I have trouble fitting it, it's a major to get parts. From what I can see the Edelbrock comes complete with everything including a canned tune, so at least I could fit it and use it immediately. The nearest reliable dyno is in Perth, 400 klm ( 240 miles ) away.
I would like to hear from someone who has actually fitted the Edelbrock 1583 to their truck. Mine is 4 wheel drive and needs part number 15834 as well, but that is irrelevant.

I know it's irrelevant as there are better choices BUT with your mind set on the Edelbrock kit, enjoy it as it will do what you want but when you want to upgrade later you'll wish you hadn't

X2^^

I would look into the whippple kits...The horsepower bug will bite you and you will want more power later. With the whipple kits there are plenty of ways of upping the boost/power for far less money. I don't know to much about the EB kits. Ford Racing might be coming out with a kit as well. Ask your local dealer if they will honor your warranty if they do the install because the Ford Racing kit is from "Ford".

Thanks guys for the information, it seems you people who know are all leaning toward the Whipple. I would like to see one from Ford racing, so I might hang off for a bit. The attracton with the Edelebrock is that they seem to be getting excellent results from low boost, which to my mind is kinder to the bottom end. I've still got an open mind on all of this, but my days of being a revhead are nearly over and I'm more of an old fart wanting a bit more power to get past slow coaches when I'm towing my caravan.
Incidentally Ford US will not honour the warranty in Australia, and Ford Australia don't want to know about it so I hope nothing major goes wrong with it! Consequently it matters not what I do by way of modification.
Any further information will be greatly appreciated, and thanks all for replying.
There are very few F150s in Australia so I'm relying on you guys for information.
