What is the P.A.T.S. system?
I just bout a newsed '99 F-150. One of the keys has P.A.T.S. on it. Is this anything special, or is it the standard passive anti theft system (won't start unless coded key is used)?

That's exactly what it is. No coded key, no start.

Welcome to the board. Congrats on the newsed '99. Newsed. I like that! First time I ever heard it.
