tebow time..

Wow, well the cardiac kids did it again...nothing like winning at the last second. I will say, it ain't pretty, but he gets it done. Tebow seems to lift everyone up on that team. They sure didn't rally around Orton.

But Hoge said you can't win with him? 1-4 with Orton, 7-1 with Tebow.

Why ESPN keeps that guy is beyond me.

IMO -- Tebow is the classic example of a guy with "2nd String Ability" that has found himself on a nice little hot run where virtually every break has gone his way. I suspect it's only a matter of time before he will pay a huge physical price for playing a college game at the professional level.

When taken over the long haul, I suspect that his workmanlike skills will earn him a nice 10-year run in the NFL holding a clipboard as the back-up QB for somebody. Not bad work if you can get it, but I don't see Tebow taking any team to the promised land (no pun intended) over the long haul.

Just my .02 cents......

Lots of haters out there but bottom line is the guy is winning games, and the scoreboard at the end of the game is really all that matters. Imagine what he could do if he had some good recievers. They had like 6 drops yesterday in the first half alone and one was for a touchdown. He was 18 of 21 in the 4th quarter, which is pretty good for a guy with supposedly no talent. His "will to win" is an intangible that can't be ignored.

I am a Florida Stae fan so its hard to root for the guy since he's a Gator but they are 7-1 with him as the QB, so he must be doing something right. I think alot of people hate him for non-football reasons though.

I am slowly jumping on the Tebow band wagon. I have been a chargers fan since I was 6 so I by no means like the Broncos but I look forward to seeing his performance every weekend.

I think he will get nailed during some game for running the ball and not staying in the pocket and it will put him out for a season. I think it will happen next year when teams learn how to play defense on him.

I'm like Ditka. I'm more worried about Tebow hurting a defender. After the Miami win, everyone kept saying that defenses would figure out how to beat the Broncos. I'm sure they'll lose some games in the future, but no one has shut them down yet. And now that they have plenty of film on them, there's no more excuses.

Also, most QB's have season ending injuries in the pocket: Brady, Roethlisberger, Palmer, etc

To me, that says more about Orton than it does about Tebow. Like I say, he's on a nice little hot run right now, but those don't translate into long term success -- just ask Don Majkowski, Matt Cassel, etc.

Our team has been playing harder for Tebow as a whole. You gotta give credit where it is due. Like Ditka said, you unplug Orton and plug in Tebow and all of a sudden they're winning. Tebow is an old-school type QB.

Anyone 30ish and younger has only seen the Bengals/Walsh type West Coast Offense. There are other ways to win games. Comparing Tebow to someone like Majkowski or Cassel is irrelevant. He's more like Joe Kapp but with a stronger arm.

I'm a diehard Viking fan, so I know all about Joe Kapp. All I can say is, "Thank God we traded to get Fran Tarkenton back from the Giants!"

Speaking of Kapp, did you see the fisticuffs he got into at the recent CFL Legends ceremony: http://www.opposingviews.com/i/sport...ca-brawl-canes

Talk about some growly old guys.....

If I were Tebow, not sure I would appreciate being compared to Joe Kapp. Maybe Johnny U.

I'm too young to have seen Kapp play live, but his highlights are pretty impressive. Tebow has his grit. I think that is a positive, and it has rubbed off on his team.

Actually, Joe Kapp is probably a pretty good comparison playing style wise. Just a very different person, character and personality wise.
