Computer quirk ...

I recently experienced a funny development with my computer. I cant open hyperlinks in my hotmail account unless I right click and "open in a new tab" doing a right click and "open in a new window" wont work either. Until recently clicking on a hyperlink in my E-mail would open a new windowfor that link.

Most other hyperlinks from other web pages work as they normally did, meaning that the hyperlinks open in new window but some very few do not work. As far as I know I have'nt changed anything on my computer to cause this. I have windows XP with IE8 and msn hotmail.

So far I tried a system restore and changed some of my internet options settings but all to no avail. Any suggestions are welcome at this point. Thanks a bunch.

Pepe

Did you recently add a pop up blocker? Do you use I. E.? Could be the latest upgrade of that browser..

Yes I have a pop up blocker but have been using it all the while. I have IE8, if this is an upgrade I dont like it. I hope I can undo it somehow if that turns out to be the case.

Well I done like you said and downloaded Mozilla Firefox. Works great, I have to get used to the new format and navigating it. Once I get my favorites, preferences, and such organized I'll ditch IE8 by uninstalling it.

Thanks again for the help.

Install adblock plus in your addons and subscribe to easy list in the filters list. Surf the web for awhile and then come back here and thank me for the suggestion.
