Need to reset router to get xbox to see it
I've searched and found how to reset my router. I don't have the computer that my router was initially set up with anymore. I need to reset the router so I can get my new xbox to find it wirelessly so I can start playing with all the extras. Do I need any other information, such as IP addresses before I do this? I'm not computer savvy at all, so feel free to dumb it down for me!
Thanks!
Thanks!

Shut down everything using that connection and the router. -For a couple minutes. reconnect the X box set up. Then plug the router back in. They should find each other automatically.
If not, try it vise verso.

what do you mean by reset ?
Should not have to reconfigure it to make a device access it, you just need the WEP key ( in HEX or pass phrase if configured that way ) to make the device use it.
If it is the CSCO type with the quick find ( setup ? ) feature, think it is a button on the front of it.
Accessing it should be a web interface to the IP address.
This should be your default gateway in the IP info on your PC.
- This is assuming it is not a WiFi device used as a bridge ( and you have a different router for accessing the internet ), and it is actually a router.
If you found the manual online, chances are you did not change the password from default ?? You should be able to Web UI to it, to make any configuration changes. Again this should not be a case of blowing its brains out and starting over to make one item work.
