Quick question.

I picked up a tool box for my truck at a good price IMO today, but here is the question.

I need to mount it and I don't have any brackets. I was thinking maybe some J type bolts with some washers and nuts.

Would this work? I was figuring 4 should do it.
I need to pick up two new locks and maybe some of the jacks that hold the lid open, should I be able to get this at the local parts store.

Quick answer.

Yes. And 4 would be fine.

Yup, J bolts will work. I had a Weather guard box installed that way for years. Nice to not have to drill holes in your bed rails.

Thats how I installed mine and the toolbox on my dads truck. I didn't even use four, two did the job and it doesn't budge.

Thanks guys, I am gonna hopefully try and pick up some new locks at walmart, I got thr box for $100 and besides one minor dent and missing keys its in perfect shape.

I used only two bolts because the bed liner made the box such a tight fit it took me and a helper a bit of effort to get in inside the rails.

Once I wash it off and maybe polish it a bit, it should look like new!

Once I pick up some locks ill be set!
