If you saw this ad; would you hire?

Alrighty folks, I have a question. After my time is up here in the Army I plan on going back home and opening up my lawn care business (something I've always wanted to do). Every name I could think of was taken, so I sort of thought of something clever, I think...maybe. I realize with the iPod, iPad era taking over in alot of peoples homes, calling a business ILawns would be clever/ a little humorous in some peoples thoughts. Just wanted grab your take on it, negative and positive. Also if you have an idea for a name, I'm all ears! Below in the logo I came up with. Thanks for the insight!

It's nice, but expect to be sued by Apple. They have done it before.

I would probably disregard it based on the name alone. I think its just my personal distaste for the whole iCrap sensation. Good luck.

Having the abbreviation of "inc." at the end of the business name is a clear statement that you are incorporated. Are you or will you actually be incorporated ? If not, then you have no business having that in the name, to use it because it sounds cool is misrepresenting your business. That is Not the way you want to start out, it sends the wrong message to the public.
And yes, it may take time for Apple to find you but when they do they won't take the infringement lightly.

It would have it INC. (the reason I put it). I looked a little into the LLC but need to re-look, I heard that, that might be the better way to go. I still have a few years, but want to get everything squared away sooner than later.

I still can't fathom that they really sued people for stuff like that...but it is Apple lol!

Some thoughts:

- Thank you for your service!

- Apple does not own a trademark on every use of the lowercase letter "i" before a word. Specific instances of it, yes: iPhone, iMac, iLife, etc. But there are products on the market with names that start with the letter "i" that have nothing to do with Apple, Inc: "iTouchless Cordless Bagless Automatic Intelligent Robotic Vacuum Cleaner PRO" at Home Depot is one example. IMHO, use the name if you want to, Apple's lawyers won't bother you.

- I probably would not call based on the ad, but that's because I always try to get a recommendation (good or bad) from someone's direct experience rather than choosing an unknown company based on an ad. So name your company anything you want, do a great job and impress the heck out of your customers, and new customers will find you by referral no matter what your name!

Thanks I appreciate it! It's just a job though, where everyday is easy and nothing but sweet nothings are said all day

I don't follow the mindless technology craze. But I like the all star one. Then have a nice brochure describing what you do different that the low priced competion does. Leave your price out of it, sell them on the quality of work you do and the results they will have. Pride in their property, increased curb appeal, increased home value, stable home value, welcoming home, etc. Have before/after pics, or just REAL pics of your work, not stolen internet pics.

Nahh, to confusing - A little more personal and simple if you want to appeal to the older generation. - That's a good chunk of that market, I assume...

I know there's allot of "your name/nickname" company's/corps out there, but they get the business. You know ? Simple like , Kenny's Lawn Care or Lawn Service. Simple and common I know, but when you have someone thumbing thru the yellow pages looking for a young guy who wants to make buck, the name can cut to the chase pretty quick (no pun intended). Could use a couple "A's" at the beginning, like - A. Aldermans Lawn Service. You'll be noticed right off and most likely first in search.

There's quite a bit of folks who do great at this and live real well.

Good Luck.
