For what it's worth....It's a great and moving story but unfortunately appears to be fiction. Still a great story though.

In a story like this I don't think it really matters if it is made up or not, it's not like anyone is trying to profit from it. It's the other way around, those who read it are the ones who profit!
Brought back alot of memories of my old Springer, Best friend/hunting partner a man could have. Learned alot from that dog while he trained me!

Fact or fiction, doesn't matter. The story IS true, with names, dates, details and a few other insignificant things changed. Mans BEST friend! God gave me a body strong as a bear and a heart soft as cotton candy, especially when it comes to a good dog. I've hugged many a dog in my day, and will continue till the day I no longer have the strength to. A good dog is an amazing gift from God!

Labs are great dogs, very loyal etc. We had one for over 13 yrs, he was a real good boy. I love dogs, we have 6 at the moment all house dogs & all rescued. We have had nearly 10. They are very much part of our family & love them dearly.
