Fooled around on the Choptank river out of Denton Maryland with my friend, and his grandfather.















Shortly after laughin at this boat...



...I open the 4.3L open wide rollin' 42mph on plane and then BANG, CLANK, stall. Wtf. Motor fires right up, but stalls when drop to drive or reverse. I jump down in to see if I tangled but find nothin'. Spins free in neutral, but when in gear I could turn the prop with a clunkin' noise. Fortunately we were only about a half mile from the ramp and we got a friendly tow back in.



Just to add to the downfall of that day, main road out of Denton was closed, so I attempted a little bit of land nav to get back on track, but it didn't go to plan as I kept ended up heading south. Fired up the GPS and it comes up with a way home. Via a dirt road for 8 miles. Oh well, now she's broke and dirty.







Either way, this deployment keeps me from havin to run the boat the rest of the season anyway till I get back in the winter. Does anyone know the estimate for getting a Mercruser Alpha one outdrive rebuild?

Sucks you had engine trouble. Atleast you got some what of a ride in...lol That'll teach ya for laughing at the S.S Laughin Loon... lol
