Insurance Warfare
This may be of interest to anyone who carries automobile insurance with:
Allstate Insurance Co.
Atlanta Casualty Ins. Co.
Farmers Ins. Co.
Guaranty National Ins. Co.
OrionAuto
Progressive Ins. Co.
Travelers Property and Casualty Corp.
All the above insurance companys use CCC Information Services total-loss evaluation program. This program WILL appraise your vehicle $2000.00 less than the value of your vehicle. If you want proof, visit the web site below. What this means is if your vehicle is considered a total loss, you will get $2000.00 less than your vehicle is worth. For more information on this visit www.insure.com
There are possible class action law suits being filed. But in the mean time you can drop your insurance with the companys above and insure with companys that do not use CCC.
Funny thing you got to protect yourself from the companys that are there to protect you.
By The Way - I have never worked in the insurance industry!
I did not or do not work for CCC. I am not even insured with one of the companys above. I dont even have a vehicle that is totaled. I was helping a friend, and uncovered this information on this company CCC. I am just sick of companys taking advantage of working class people, just to make a dollar at someone elses expense.

More CCC users out there
Don't forget Nationwide Insurance. When I worked for them briefly in their IT Dept, I got to work with the CCC program. It's a slick little application complete with pictures. The insurance adjuster just clicks on the pics of what's damaged on your vehicle, and 2 minutes later you've got a print out of what it's worth. A majority of insurance companies use the CCC products, so I doubt it's just limited to those listed above. BUT, the program DOES allow for price modifications. So if you're not happy with what they printed out, tell them to go back in and erase the lies. Another note too, I noticed not all field reps (adjusters) had the current CCC updates (prices, vehicles, parts etc) so you may be getting an antiquated estimate as well.

Thank you,
thank you for admitting the lies. thats what I want to do is call every one of the listed dealer contacts and see if anyone from CCC has even looked at any of there vehicles. Wonder if the dealers even have the vehicles listed cause many of the prices were very low on the report. Wonder if any one even looked at the vehicles on the report. BUT why are kelly blue book and NADA prices on average $2000.00 more than there price. My friend is going to start calling monday to locate some of the cars in the report and try to buy the car at there price, WITH the insurance companys check. Funny thing I think no dealer is going to sell him the car at that price. We will see.
Thanks for the tip on the updated priceing. I will let him know about the program update too.
I hope CCC goes down and I am going to be in contact with the lawyers on the class action case. I want to make sure they have all the research and info I have come across on this company.
Funny how all these dealers are selling cars this much below ($2000.00 below) kelly blue book and NADA prices. I think all the dealers listed as selling this low and not selling to the public at this price could be involved in some kind of fulse advertising...
I wish I could buy all my vehicles $2000.00 below NADA and Kelly Blue Book like CCC list on there value report.

I know that I have been with Nationwide and Allstate before, and I have never totaled a car, but I know that they charge ridiculously high rates. I am now with Prudential and my house, boat and truck all three with full coverage is cheaper than just my truck with either of the two above.
I bought a '94 Ranger, 4.0L, excab, all options, 50k miles, for $10k on Jan '00. Feb '01 the vehicle was totalled. I fought with Progressive (my ins) for months over it, and got nowhere. They wrote a check for $6k to cover the truck. 6k!! But I didn't have the resources available to fight it at the time, and just had it stuck to me.
Our insurance had a clause that they would pay 100% of the purchase price on a new vehicle less than a year old. My son's S10 extreme was totaled when a semi lost a whole back set of duals and they crossed the median and hit my son headon. They had not problem paying the 100% but I did have to fight a little for the other losses, optional equipment and personal property. I kept at their *** and finally got about 75% of what I was asking for though. I also contacted the state insurance commision on them and they in turn also talked to them. You might try that as well.
