2400 miles a year

http://charlotte.craigslist.org/bar/2506517089.html

Came across this ad this morning.

My Dad has a 1993 F150 XLT with only 43,000 original miles in perfect shape, with extras professionally added, would like to trade for a smaller truck, extended cab or possibly quad cab. Would want something with similar mileage, No more than 20,000 miles more, unless exceptional truck. This truck looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor. Truck has a cab shade added, running boards all the way back to bumper, camper top with side locking windows. Truck still has factory smell, not been abused in any way. Looking to barter or $8000 cash, but please make an offer. He has been offered $6000 and that wouldn"t quite cut it. Call __________ for Questions or can e-mail more pics.
Thought it was cool enough to post here. Don't know how honest it is but it sure isn't what I'm looking for.

Not sure why the ad does not mention what engine it has...

Cool find for someone who loves that year.

OTOH, I think that camper shell, visor and running boards hurt the appearance and reduce the appeal of the truck. Stock is king if you want top dollar for an older, low mileage vehicle.

Totally agree. If I were to buy it I would immediately take all that off.

The mileage is very believable -- heck, I only put 500 miles a year on mine. That truck is a clear example, however, that some people have HORRIBLE taste in aftermarket accessories.....

You ain't lying...I'd have it in my driveway just long enough to find my tools to take that crap off
