"In" the future. "Out" of future.

I'm ashamed of you guys. That switch is connected directly to the passenger seat, you use when the wife gives too much advice! Any body should know that!

Jeeze!

I'm gonna guess overdrive.

When I was growing up we had a 1982 Volvo 240, diesel with a 4 speed with "electric" OD.

This was the shifter:

you can obviously see the 4 speeds, the hole in the middle was the OD button

I had a 1980 Volvo 240 with a gas motor with a 4 speed with an electric overdrive. That's definitely an overdrive switch. It only works in 4th. The overdrive unit was in between the tranny and driveshaft.

Who didn't have a Volvo 240?
