This is all just my opinion but... I have two Yamaha Waverunners, an 07 VX deluxe and an 08 VX crusier. They both do about 60mph, both 3 seaters and both a blast to ride. Both are 4 stoke and very low maintenance. Supercharged is great but more to break down. Are you going to be on a lake, river? Are you going to be able to use the power a SC engine could give you? I have heard alot of negative things about seadoo but I won't get into a brand war. I do know that the VX series was and still is the best selling model since it came out for price and reliability.

With a ski you hit the max rpm more often than you realize. Plus turbo and super charging is more to break down as mentioned above. It is best to keep it simple if you are going to keep it for a while.
They are all a blast to ride but when you go to three cylinders, the boat is that much heavier. I'll stick with the 650 as I mentioned before. My zxi would pull plenty of weight, and tow knee boards, tube, and skiers.
I've had a whole chronology of skis, from the kaw 300 stand up to 1000 three seater's. The mid size ones give you good performance, with a little less maintenance, and are not so heavy that one person can handle a dead one in the water.

I had a 650 stand up scherle ported with tuned pipe and higher pitch impeller. That thing was a beast. I later put the engine in a 650 hull, it was still a beast. But that was a two stroke. The 4 stroke's just don't have the torque curve of a 2 stroke.

I'm looking at a 08 3 seater Yamaha FX Crusier the thing is massive Just trying to figure out if it will be okay to do mainly 1 person riding or is that overkill ??

Just make sure it's fuel injected. I hate carbs. Nothing but problems with them.

Thats all that is ever on mine. My wife has her own. And I have no problem jumping that 3 seater out of the water if the wake from other boats is right.

They are a blast and I take mine out as much as possible. easy to dunk in the water and ride a few hours after work and get back out of the water as opposed to my boat.
