life changes in a split second

I was on my way to friends house yesterday to help him finish load his moving truck. He is moving to fla. and needed a hand finishing up. So i get there and low and behold there is a ambulance in the driveway loading up my friend Mark... He did the dumbest thing and tried to load his Star motorcycle in the back of the moving truck by driving it up the ramp

Well he made to where the front tire was just inside and then fell off the ramp and landed on top of a iron chair that was waiting to be loaded and it went inside his belly tearing out his spline.. WTF was he thinking, he is 58 and should never tried this that is why i was coming over to help load it. Now he had his spline removed and will be in the hospital for 1 week then 3 more weeks to recover... What a nightmare... MEn

I don't think this qualifies, or falls under the "life changes in a split second" category. Usually that category is reserved for fate type issues beyond your control. Happens every time! I had a buddy did the same thing. I think anyone planning on riding a bike up a ramp alone should call an ambulance in advance and plan on the inevitable. As a biker though, I do sincerely wish your fried the best of luck...that definitely sucks.
