Need some help choosing snowboard bindings...

So now is the best time to buy some used snowboard bindings but I have no clue as to what to get. I have a Gnu board that is practically brand new. I consider myself to be a good snowboarder. I have been doing it for about 5 years now and have always rented or borrowed a board from a friend. I mainly just ride straight down the mountain; sometimes fast, sometimes slow, but I will also hit the terrain park a little bit on my way down too. My buddy has Flow bindings and I used them once and fell in love with them because how easy they were to get in and out of. I want to get a nice pair of used bindings for around $100. I want to stick with either Flow, Burton, or Ride. I hear they are the best. Any suggestions on models I should look for based on the type of rider I am? Thanks for the help

I absolutely stand by flow bindings. They are simple to get in and out of, you don't have to sit down and ratchet in your bindings, and they literally last forever. When I lived in Flagstaff, AZ I spent 3 snow seasons on the slopes monday through thursday for at least 4 hours each time and my flows held up. I hate saying this but I feel I am a pretty good snowboarder. I can do all sorts of tricks/jumps/rails etc. Anyways, the point of the story is I still have the first generation flow bindings. And they have lasted the whole time. Every test I put to them they passed.

Thats my opinion. Of course you cant go wrong with burton, they are the biggest name in snowboarding for a reason. Good luck. Cant wait for the season!

Thanks for the advice D! I really did like the Flow bindings when I borrowed my buddies board. I found these 2 sets on ebay. Could you give me some insight on which is better?

I got the board for free from my girlfriends brother, he outgrew it in like 2 seasons. What model Burtons would you suggest? I want something that will last me a good while...

Well, the bindings in the first link you posted are New Old Stock (NOS) and I believe they are one of the first models that came out. They look very similar to mine.

The second link you posted looks like a good deal. They also look like the same model type I have as well.

I know the design has changed and I have heard from some people that there isint as much support but I don't know first hand. But honestly dude, I am not in the snowboard scene enough to give you good advice on which one is better. I really just ride when I can and dont follow snowboarding like I do surfing or wakeboarding. It's just something I do because I am good at it an enjoy it.

The best advice I can give you is do your homework. Buy something from a quality company that you know will last long. I personally will always buy flow bindings because of how long they lasted me.

But hell, if your ever in Southern California and want to go shred send me a PM and I'll gladly meet you!
