04 f150 4x4 when its in 4hi the light doesnt come on,turns on for low and when the truck is started 4 hi lights up. So i know the light for it works, comes on here and there and the 4wd seems to work.... any ideas on what might cause the 4wd hi illumination not to come on and or be intermittent?

 

You have to be stopped and put the truck in neutral for it to come on AND be in 4 high. Says how to in the owners manual.

4 hi can be used on the fly. got to be a switch or something
