Hello, I have an 04 F-150 heritage with a 4.2 V6 and this 1336 code is driving me nuts. I know it has something to do with the cam position sensor and crank sensor. I removed the cam pos. sensor because of other issues to check for a broken shaft (didn't think to mark it), so I went through the steps in the manual to set it up like I would a normal distributor and it says to use a special tool that is available at most auto parts stores, but they all look at me like I'm from another planet and search with no luck. Is there a way to set this like a normal distributor or is there something else i can do? The truck ran fine at first but after a while it's back to running like crap. Any help?
