2 Questions.

1. Why is the POTUS submitting a revised budget recommendation now, when he is required to have it done by the 2nd Monday in FEB ?
- Once the POTUS submits his recommendations, he is out of the process, it is up to congress.

2. Where were these cuts in his budget recommendation in FEB ?
- He gets caught with spend - spend - spend, and now he is making a revision to get back in line with revenues. The media ( true to form ) applauds him for making better cuts than Ryan, nothing about why it took him to now to figure it out, or why he is doing congress' job.

Wonder what it would be like on a Prius forum, I think I know the answer
I can't imagine too many Prius buyers having the ***** to stand up to someone on a firm issue. My wife has one, I like the benefits of the mileage, but it's a wussy car.

Im talking about the progresive budget plan rather then the presidents plan, and paul ryans plan does not seem too popular...

The one the POTUS submitted on the 2nd Monday in FEB or the last one.

The 12 page briefing I found on the Progressive Budget has quite a few of the same points as the POTUS's revised plan ( and the line charts call the POTUS plan, but do not say which version ).

Considering a good chunk of the "surplus" is coming from taxes, maybe they should look at the 1996 JEC report on what happened to Clinton when he increased taxes.
This is a huge leap of faith to make the outline of the plan work, and part of the current unexpired tax cuts would hit the middle class in 2012, all for the benefit of give away programs.

This is a good idea to you ?
Take what is left of middle class that is getting by on what they make now, and take more of it away ?

The other strange one I saw, take away the tax advantage of state and federal bonds, and give a subsidy to the issuer ?
No mention of what this would do to the rates on bond issuance, which without any tax advantages means the rate will need to go up to be competitive with other similar instruments. That was not included in the outline. The AMT part about time, but all the 12 page briefing has in it " It is funded" No clue of from where.

All in all, 12 pages of thoughts on the topic is all I found, do you have a link to the actual plan.

Not too sure how you come up with Ryan's plan is not too popular, the left is just kicking it to the curb, just due to where is came from. Got to give hm credit, the briefing on it was 79 pages, and included some actual numbers, not just percentages for tax rates and increases in give away programs as the 12 page progressive budget briefing did.

Can you explain these items in the Ryan plan that you dislike ?

Not too sure where you get your information at, but Medicare is not going to be disassembled.
Actually the Ryan plan offers to the general population what Congress gets for health care options. This is for those entering the system in 2022, and is an option to which the person wants to take.
The same health care that those who passed The Obama Health care plan get, but won't use Obama Health care plan themselves, you know the health care plan that provides not choices, and taxes people that already have health care, so a small percentage of the uninsured can be covered. This is the same plan that does little to reduce the #1 line item in government spending.

Where are these taxcuts for the rich and loophole you speak of ? The Ryan plan learns from what Clinton did, the same info in the JEC 1996 report.

I get the feeling that you do no research of your own, and just blindly repeat what you hear on the news or from some guy that has a Blog....

I do like how you admit to having little or no information on the progressive budget, but you call it "For the Win". Why is that, you favor something that you know little about ?

I like progressives and their ideas, so I think their budget might be good. From what I know about the Ryan budget, it gives seniors a set ammount of money to buy healthcare with. The theroy is it will create competition to lower prices. but do insurance companies really want to cover seniors? nope. because they know its a losing deal. If the money that the government gave them is not enough, well too bad!

and one other thing, some people say cut and some people say tax, Why dont we do a mixture of the both? thats fair and balanced

In other words, you are taking the party line, without knowing what that line might or might not cross. Please get some self initiative to do research before you start voting, else you are going to become another lemming.

Where did you get this info from ? It is obvious you did not read it yourself.

Who do you think covers seniors for other than basic Medicare today ?
That's right, insurance companies. Any of the Medicare parts are sold and services by private companies, not the gov.

Here we go, more proof you have not read the plan submitted by Ryan yourself.

Do yourself a favor, actually read the info yourself, stop watching John Stossel.... That guy could not find his rear with both hands and a 3 way mirror.
