$200?
What a bucket lol, but I would have gave $200 for it if it runs, maybe even if it didn't run.

Almost got a 86 supra non-turbo for $500 but I backed out cause it needed a head gasket.

Have fun with it, wish I could find a cheep car like that around here.
Found a few 00-02 mustang V-6's and they want anywhere from 8.5 to 10,500 and all of them are over 80K.

That will make an OK parts car. Now show us a pic of the one you plan to restore!

j/k, man.

Good luck with it.

These sort of projects rarely make good economic sense, and often never get finished. The reality is you won't be able to sell your restored Conquest for anywhere near your cost, especially if you put any value on your time.

My guess is you could eventually find a clean Conquest for a LOT less $ than it will cost to fix that one up.

But it's your money and time - if this floats your boat, go for it!

What do you expect on a FORD forum? Last I knew a Conquest was a rebadged Mitsubishi POS.........

It wasn't even a good car when it was new. That 2.6 is a miserable engine.

I forgot his user name, but that guy with the Suzuki Samari project going is pretty neat. That might be fun to bob around in up north, in the woods, snow, sand dunes or whatnot. But this project, iduno lol. It's already been said tho, "what ever floats your boat".. That's about it.

Looks like he might be getting behind on his projects tho lol.

The Mistu version was called the Starion.

If anyone cares, they have a forum and what appears to be a small cult

http://www.starquestclub.com/forum/

I think the turbos were pretty respectable performers for the day, but the mid '80's were not a real highwater mark for automotive excellence.

Although with a name like Starion, it's got to be good!

Those cars were fun to drive back in the day. I think they were putting out like 180-190hp and 200 or so ft/lbs torque.

RWD so you can smoke 'em
