My wife had one when we started dating 12 1/2 years ago. It sucked. Windshield leaked, back glass leaked, sunroof leak, and it leaked every time it rain. Did I mentioned it also leaked???? I ruined 3 shop wet/dry vacs because of that thing.

official car of trailer park trash.
It took over that title from the v6 Camaro sometime in the early '90's.

I remember thinking they were cool looking cars when they first came out. For a few years they actually sold a ton of them -- the fact that you never see even one of them on the road anymore should tell you all you need to know about the car.....

Good God, the build quality of GM cars from that era was just horrendous.....

I bought a 89 Beretta GT with a 2.8 V6 5 speed with 150k on it back in 04 for $695. Drove it 2 years, gave it to my son in law, and he drove it back and forth to work for 3 years before he junked it - it died from rust. It was actually a decent runner and got good gas mileage.

No, the 2nd one he found along side the road with a "FREE" sign on it. Probably was still typical though because the original owner had enough sense not to pay the 72nd tow bill on it and instead spent the $1.29 for a Magic Marker and found a piece of cardboard for the sign in the dumpster. Even Charlie Brown still falls for Lucy's tricks now and then.

I was working for GM dealers during those years. To call the quality HORRENDOUS is a complement. It was absolutely unbelievable! It put GM where they are today, if that says anything.

This was 8 years ago.... still has the car and drives it to work. Kicker was it was black with purple badging hahahahaha we didnt give him any for that!

Hey, hey, hey! I drive a '95 Cavey as my daily driver so I don't load-up my truck with commuting miles. Had it since new, and it still looks new! When I did the brakes, rotors were $13!!!

Baretta? Go for it. Save the truck for the fun times.
