Yes, I too remember the day that you "went out of your way" to apologize to me. It was after, even though you had treated me with the utmost disrespect for years, I tried to help you out with a plumbing issue, because that's just the way I am.

When one man apologizes to another in a public forum, and that apology is succeeded by a comment like: "For the record, I don't think you're a wacko, although I do think the Tea Party does attract a certain fringe ellement, but that's not your fault", it says a lot about the sincerity, or lack of, with which that apology was made. You made your apology and then insulted me, or insinuated that I'm so simple that I'm being unwittingly subverted by a "fringe" element, like a school aged child being trained to chant anti-conservative statements. Sorry I didn't say thanks.

I'm sorry for playing a part in upsetting this board. I get tired of bullies. In this case the bully is the big kid and the bullied is the skinny kid. The skinny kid can't body slam the bully, because this is the internet, and because the big kid is too big for the skinny kid to body slam. It's also not the right thing to do, though it's celebrated all the same.

I'm trying to get a discussion going about current events that may go on under the radar of what the MSM feeds us. Others are doing the same. I belive that this topic is as valid as five dollar ATM fees. I don't believe that it should provoke the same type of discussion as a video of a crazy religious person. It's a lot more serious than talking about someone wearing a thong.

People can take any thread wherever they want to go, under the watchful eye of the MOD. I don't believe that the video that I posted has anything to do, even remotely, with Frank. It's pretty obvious that the mention of Frank wasn't ment to be a contribution to the topic but to stir. I'm just responding in kind.

You've got to wonder, with all this discussion about bullying, what it does when adults teach kids that sometimes it's ok to bully someone, if that someone happends to be a duly elected representative who's done thier job representing the will of their constituents? Isn't this just going to perpetuate and even worsen the bullying that the country is recently concerned about?

 

Additonally, the example we set by calling an elected official names, questioning their abilities, and not respecting their elected position, etc. I certainly agree Wit.

It was not my intention to say that this thread was intended to stir up trouble. I was not clear on that and I apologize. When I said threads, I should have said posts and other threads. My comment was directed at the posts that took off in a direction of attacks on members. And that goes for everyone, liberal, conservative, religeous believer and non believer.

 

i dont understand how it could be legal for the wisconson legislature to shove through a union busting bill, i dont like unions but they made the consessions that the government asked for. kinda strange
