I read the title about 5 times before I clicked on it to try and figure out what it was about.

I figured you'd finally started speaking tounges.

Gruesome hit though.

I saw the reply...horrible hit..did he get a penalty for it? Looked like a late hit. Hope the Habs player recovers....

He received a 5 minute major and game misconduct for the hit. Today the NHL decided on no supplemental discipline.

I think the NHL made the right call on nothing further. As for the original call, I think the game misconduct was not warranted but with they way they NHL has been with injuries, particularly to head hits, the call was expected.

Hopefully Paciotetty will make a quick recovery and return to the ice.

Yeah I've seen plenty of those crazy hits like that at the end of the bench glass. That's a place to keep away from.

My favorite hit of all time was Darian Hatcher hitting Jeremy Roenick and breaking his jaw. That was a cheap shot but priceless and the only memorable thing the boat anchor ever did.

I've watched the vid a few times and seen it on sportcenter as well and in slow motion you can see Chara's left arm guiding him into the turnbuckle. I can't help but wonder what Collie Cambell's and the league's reaction to this would have been had this been Crosby, Ove or some other marquee player who took the hit. I'd love to ask Collie what punishment he'd hand out if it was his son who had taken the hit. You can bet Chara is a marked man the next time these two teams meet.
