I think it's going to be cold in the winter with a convertible.

I have a 94 i bought when i was 16. Im 27 now and it just finally gave up on me. i think it could be redone, but im through with it. it was a great motor. oil changes and spark plugs are all i did. Finally died on me with almost 213000 miles. and i was still getting 24mpg, mixed driving to and from work 80 miles round trip.

Meh...its alright. I would get him a used Fusion or Focus 4 door. Besides only girls drive V6 Mustang convertibles.

My wife had a 2003 V6 Mustang Conv for a little while. The tops are horrible. It fell apart/broke and had to get replaced 3 times and it sucked in the winter months. No way I would own a rag top if I lived in New York unless it was my summer car.

I liked the 2nd on myself also, seemed quieter inside and has very low mileage for the year.

Are you looking for a efficient but "somewhat" sporty car?

3.8 Mustangs are okay. My best friend has one, and it's a pretty good car.

I say get him a 4.2 V6 F150.

Never been fond of a conv. I like this one better. I like the lower mileage, but prefer a stick vs the auto. A close friend of mine just helped his son finance a similar car to take to college. I drove it when he went to pick it up. The 6 banger had plenty of zip to it with the manual tranny. I figure the clutch, etc. will always been cheaper and easier to replace than something going wrong with the automatic.

the gray one is nicer then the vert...

Mustangs draw a lot of attention... i have a 2010 v6 myself... i literally had less then 100 miles on it before i got my first ticket... and another one a few months later... cops love to pull you over... if i am in my work truck (utility f350) i can pass cops going 10-15 over all day long.... in the mustang... good luck...

insurance for me is around 100 bucks a month for full coverage and i am 21 years old...

i am getting 23 mpg and 27 on long flat trips with the 4.0 engine... drive it nicely and not like a muscle car...

The mustang will have no problem getting up past 100 mph, and quickly... how good of a driver is your son?

Winter time i park mine, i tried to drive it and the stock tires were crap with too much HP to the rear wheels and too light of a car...

overall i love my mustang and it's gotten me a few girls... for CNY as an only car i would get a 4x4 tho

My son is 32 and has been ill for sometime now. He is getting better and has almost returned to his old self. This makes me a happy pappy and i want to get him back on his feet once again with a bit of a boost. He is a great driver and a great son. He need a sporty car but it needs to get good mileage also. I think the 2nd one may be the one.

PS i offered him my old truck but at the time he could not drive... ;-(
