Wierd Stump Pulling
Why would someone be dumb enough to use the interior of their vehicle to anchor a tow rope to pull something out? Then to not check for buried cabling? What if that was her electrical mains!!!
Plus it took her 5 times...
People scare me.

those lines werent buried, just tucked along the bottom edge of the house and looks to have come lose over time. Typical lazy directv install....
Agreed though, definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed.

From the looks of the root system, about 15 min with a shovel, and that would have been out clean.
I took out 7 bushes on the north side of the house to change the landscaping, and after 8 years the root system looked stronger then that did.
Each one took me about 45 min with a pick to dig out clean ( did not want anything left, I was doing soil amending for the new bushes & plants ).
If necessity is the mother of invention, laziness is the bastard red headed step child that goes by the name, "hold my beer, watch this"

I pullled out a stump once (hooked to trailer hitch) and it ended up slingshotting against my tailgate causing a sizable dent. Can you imagine if that thing flung inside the car??? or if even the "tow rope" snapped and whipped into the passenger compartment? some people JUST DON'T THINK!!!
The best thing to use for stump pulling is a chain since it won't stretch and snap back. Even a steel cable will stretch although it is far less likely to snap back on you. I've pulled small stumps using a heavy chain without any trouble.
