Buckeye AZ

Layed off agin 3ed time in 1 1/2 years So I’m most likely moving to Buckeye in early to mid February.
No work or a lack of gainful employment is forcing me to leave the Reno area. It’s as if employers expect top notch employees for suck *** pay.
I know the jobs don’t pay too great in AZ but hell at least there gainful and not just existing lol.

1. I have not cats and have a diablo chip tuned for it. Are all county’s in AZ smog check required?

My dad says Buckeye is a smog county. Will I have a hard time getting this thing smoged? No names mentioned but friends in Reno have found ways around this as well as friends in Ca where it’s hard as hell to get around it.
I don’t want to buy cats and then have to retune for them and buy a second chip for this. I guess worse case I would have to buy 2 high flow cats and have flanges welded in place so I could install and remove them as needed.

2. The new permitless carry. Has anyone had any adverse encounters with the police? IE traffic stop and you inform them you have a firearm concealed and they get all weird about.

I’ve had zero issues here in Nevada during stops. Only once did they even want to see the pistol.

3. Thoughts comments about Buckeye and Phoenix. What should I watch out for? What areas are no fly zones ghettos, etc? Anything and everything I’m all ears.

Why are you so opposed to having cats? High flows aren't restrictive.

your layed off again for the 3ed(?) time and all you think about is cats and guns.. Word to the wise, sell the truck then the guns get a small econo car and find gainfull employment then worry about cats and guns.

Years of experience with Superchargers has taught me a thing or 2 about seeing sky high boost pressers and loosing a bottom end or 2 due to them HI flow or not. Ask any of these guys on here about the before and after effects of removing cats. Ask them what there restriction psi "Boost" # was prior to the removal. Cut and dry nasty back pressure

Yes they do help pull allot of the nasty unburnt by products out of the exhaust but they just kill your Combo one way or another. Maybe they got better over the last 10 years but I’m still skeptical.

I miss the old days in the Cal bay area. Smog time no sweet just slap the stock x pipe in the Fox and your good to go.

I am from Phoenix, AZ but am currently stationed in TX. Phoenix is nice and there is a good amount of jobs available. When I lived there I worked as a technician for Dish Network and did a lot of work out in Buckeye. One of my co-workers at the time actually lived in Buckeye and he said there's no work in Buckeye, so that's why he got the job in Phoenix. From what some of my customers said the houses out there are selling for really cheap however.

Maricopa and Pima Counties in AZ have smog inspections. Buckeye is in Maricopa County. If you live outside of Maricopa or Pima Counties but work in them, you still have to have smog inspections (although how they enforce that I don't know).

As far as carrying a gun is concerned, whether you are carrying concealed or carrying open, if you are pulled over by a LEO, lower both front windows, put your hands on the upper part of the steering wheel, and keep them there. When the officer walks up, tell her/him you have a gun and where, then follow directions.
