I have a 2010 F-150 Lariat with an OEM backup camera that I would like to relocate to the gap between the bottom of the tailgate and the top of the rear bumper.This is to allow removal of the tailgate for towing 5Th wheel trailer. Does this sound reasonable? From what I have found the actual camera body will un plug from the end of the harness just inside the tailgate. I plan to build a bracket/ box assembly to house it in.
