....There we go, comparable pistol and a review! I assume it doesn't dig in when you hop into a vehicle?
Nope....pretty comfortable, even when sitting. Don't think I would want it there for a 10 hour drive, but for normal in and out driving, the XD is fine. Had to find the best placement of it, but that is true with any holster.

Having said that, the PM9 is so small and light, you can forget that you have it at all....

Kahr PM9 in a Crossbreed Minituck

Thought I had a pic of the XD in the Supertuck, but can't find it.... Need to clean out the computer...its desktop looks worse than my desktop...

Dont get me wrong... it looks like a nice holster... but there is ALOT of it...plus as you mentioned, I dont know how comfy it woud be after long hours. I'm also not a fan of the Belt loops... but that's just me...

Here is the one that I was speaking of... I carry a 228 and after about 30 mins I forget I even have it on... plus, it has a clip... you can get it with loops as well...but again, I'm not a fan of it...

Oh no way I'd try to sit with a pistol strapped to me for long drives, its those quick trips to the other town where the people aren't quite so friendly. I dont want to advertise since I am smaller stature, but I do want the option to have it with me just in case.

I typically use a cheap walmart elastic belt that stretches with me (work gets me in odd positions, sometimes leather and gutaches dont agree), this raises a concern.

Smaller or larger? 2 clip or 1 clip?

Oh I agree... I'm not a fan of the long rides either... but if I'm going to be in and out of the car like you said, then I can wear it all day long and not even worry about it.

You mentioned a cheap belt... IMO... I would invest in a "good" belt.. I think that makes all the difference...that and the holster of course. The other thing I forgot to mention in my post was the "cant"... The downunder allows for 15 degrees of cant, which really helps...

I'm not sure what you mean smaller or larger...2 clip or 1 clip...? The 1 clip works well for me and holds the holster firmly in place...

I'm not sure what your budget is but I'd recommend checking out www.mitchrosen.com.

I've got an ARG-EXP for my Kimber Pro Carry II and I love it! My ex has the same holster for her Springfield EMP9mm and it doesn't print on her at all and she's tiny (5'6"ish 100lbs soaking wet). SOB Carry with it. My buddy at the gun shop has the more expensive ARG (just looks better for like $60 more and takes months to get) and he's roughly 5'8" 140-150lbs and even when he wears form fitting (read tight) shirts you won't know he's carrying.

I have a Blade-Tech Phantom Series IWB for my Glock 19 I wear just a hair behind my hip - probably 315 or 330ish. Doesn't print on me.

And like PA SNAKE said, you really need to buy a good, sturdy belt. More specifically a gun-belt because most other belts don't have the strength to support the weight of a gun. To me, the belt and holster are just as important as the gun because if your gun is constantly changing positions on your body and you have to draw your weapon, you want to know exactly where that gun is at all times. If it's in the same spot all the time, you'll always grab for it there. Take a look at 5.11 or Wilderness Tactical belts, they aren't too expensive and will provide the needed support for your weapon and extra mags.

I'll consider one belt for work, one for everywhere else that'll do the pistol. I meant the 2clip vs 1 clip kinda going with the bigger or smaller holsters, I noticed the 1 clips look like they could possibly rotate or work loose easier than the 2 clip, honestly expect the 2clip to have potential for one extra mag considering the size difference. But then I suppose you'd rather have the mags on the other side.

Those are honestly just a bit more than I anticipated to spend, I anticipated to encroach on $100 and be satisfied. Thanks for the tip on belts, I'll look them up tomorrow. Your friends stature is close to mine, but I dont wear form fitting, maybe if I had killer pecs

I understand completely about the price. Take a look at Blade-Tech holsters, some of theirs aren't too bad on price and I like the one I have for my Glock. He's USMC so he's in pretty good shape and can pull it off... Me on the other hand, I'm 6'1" 165lbs and look like a tooth pick so I can't wear them either.

You can get a 5.11 belt for $40+s/h and a blade-tech for like $30+s/h. The belt will be good for any holster. If you find that you aren't entirely satisfied with the Blade-Tech holster you can use it while you save to buy a better one. The holster will be what changes as it depends entirely on your body, how and where you want to carry, and what material you want it made from (kydex, leather, hybrid).

You can always go to a local gun shop and see what they have and what you can try out. Ask the people working there what they opinions are.

Agreed..a good belt is a must. With the Kahr, I can get away with a regular belt {it only weighs in at 14oz empty} But when I CCW the Xd, a good belt makes a difference. Crossbreed also has belts and they are not out of site price wise. Mark over there is a good guy to deal with...

I like the 2 clips: Crossbreeds have options on the type of clips {over the belt, under the belt and with two clips, the 'kant" can be adjusted for best fit and concealment. My minituck rides straight up while the supertuck clips are 3 holes apart. Just what works for me, but remember I am 6'1" and 280 or so {hopefully back to 260 soon...:o).

I also have a cheap Fobus Paddle holster that I will occaionally use if I am driving a lot or if I am having to move around a lot. With it set all the way up, the weapon rides pretty high and can be covered by an polo shirt not tucked in.

crossbreeds are comfortable but very bulky...if you plan on taking the gun off a bunch throughout your day I would recommend a "high noon holster". They are very afordable and you can get a tuckable version for casual wear.

I carry my high noon more than any of my other holsters as its small, comfortable and inexpensive ($36)

The feel is AWESOME, probably one of the most comfortable holsters to wear. Bulky by the sheer size of what you have to conceal. It takes awhile to get the gun on if you take it off for any reason compared to other holsters.

My high noon holster is almost identicle to the brown holster with the clip that was posted. Very easy to take on and off, cheap, comfortable and stays put on the draw.

I carry appendix though as I find it most comfortable. And I just slide my XD to the 3 o'clock position when driving long distances for comfort.

If I was going to carry at the 4 or 5 oclock I would go with a crossbreed.

I carry a Mr. Softy
