i hate to type this on christmas eve..

3 of my classmates and very good friends had a horrible wreck this morning around 2AM..they were riding to a party and were going to fast on an oil top, hit a ditch, all 3 were thrown out of the truck.

the 2 guys up front, cal and nick, nick suffered a broken arm and the cal a broken leg and some internal bleeding, i saw cal earlier and he was starting to talk again..the girl, Courtney, in the back seat, not so lucky...she was thrown 40 yards out of the truck and they say killed as soon as she hit the trees. all 3 are 21, so you know that means drinking was more than likely involved, they pulled blood from all 3.

if the driver was drinking, which i hope not, was legally drunk. i can only imagine how much of deep **** he is going to be in..he had a hell of a future ahead of him, all A's at the university of Texas..

please be careful these past 2 weeks and keep courtney and her family in your prayers

Sad to hear, so very sad. If he was drinking, he'll more than likely end up in jail/prison.

So sorry, for everyone involved. This is a miserable thing to happen, and the timing sucks, too.

It sounds like no-one was wearing a seat belt. They really work, folks, I've been in a car that was smashed into a mangled chunk of $#it, and the only thing that happened to me was some bruises and a sore neck.

So sorry to hear that man. Prayers go out to family and you, as it sounds like ya'll were all close. I hope he was not drunk, I knew someone who was driving drunk, had a wreck and killed a passenger(same basic story as yours) and they got a couple of years jail time. Plus having to live with what they did etc.

tenzip-seatbelts have saved my dad's life a couple times. they DO work, as you stated.

that really sucks to hear Ty. With straight As at UT, (I'm not trying to judge him without knowing him) but you would think he would have a bit more sense than that...

but regardless, I hope a full recovery to the guys. Wish I could say that for the girl though.
