Remembering Pearl Harbor

I had an uncle who was at Pearl Harbor the day the Japanese attacked. Anybody have relatives that were there? The stories were incredible.

If you haven't seen the Attack Map at the National Geographic, here's the linky. Make sure to have the speakers on and click on the "Full Story" links as well. It'll take you thru the attack almost minute by minute.

When i was working at Pearl Harbor i did the tour one afternoon.. went to the memorial of the USS Arizona.. very moving. Before i went there i was doing a project in Japan at a Naval Base... we took a weekend trip to Nagasaki, and went through their memorials.. stood at ground zero where we dropped the bomb on them.. so really i saw both ends of WW II for us.. what started it and what we did to end it. War is not pretty..

A friend's grandfather was there. My grandfather invaded Normandy.
