Yeah it works. My oldest daughter is incredibly intelligent but shes dumb as a fence post about common things....like traffic lights. She gets a ticket about every 6 months for a red light. She spent the money with a friend for the spray and it works. A can will do about 5 plates. Dads response has always been- driving is a full time job which means no cellphone use while driving. Like most blondes, she still doesn't get it.
Well its not so much encourage running red lights but ive seen some of these lights go from yellow to red in just a couple seconds. I got a ticket up in Ft Worth a few months ago. The light went from green to yellow to red so quick i tried to stop and ended up about 3 feet after the white line and the damn camera snapped my picture. 110 bucks later

I run lights some times.
You know on my way to work at 6AM and I can see 1/4 mile in each road direction and see nothing.
I am not sitting there for a light to change.
Besides there is no reason the light can't be yield on green.

Go to Hobby lobby or some similar type hobby store. Go to the craft section and look for aerosol paints brand name design master. Buy a can of iridescent clear. I think it will do the same thing. I haven't tried it, but I do know it will blind a camera when using a flash

I've thought about doing something like this to fight speed cameras. I drive around the Baltimore City area a lot for my job and I've gotten a few speeding tickets in the mail from the camera. The thing that ticks me off is I never feel like I am driving too fast, like if I saw a cop running radar, I wouldn't feel the need to slam on my brakes and slow down all the sudden. I'm usually in the slow lane or far right lane just barely keeping up with traffic or seeing cars blow past me, yet I've gotten a few of tickets for doing 42 in a 35 or something ridiculous like that. It's pissing me off, but luckily it's not any points on my license. I haven't had a speeding ticket from a cop in over 10 years, feel I'm a good safe driver, but errr these damn cameras!
Maybe I need to research a phone app that shows these speed cameras by GPS location. But then I'd probably just get a ticket for using my phone while driving.

That's all fine and dandy but in some of the towns I go through EVERY SINGLE light has a different time frame on how long the yellow light stays lit. It's not right that the yellow almost just flashes on some of these lights and then quickly changes to red... I was told by traffic engineers that the yellow light duration should be .5 secs for every 5mph in speed to safely stop your vehicle.. If the speed limit is 55 then the yellow light duration should be 5.5 secs long.. But I haven't seen that amount of time in 15+ years...

Oh yea, and you know those statistics that supposedly show that the cameras cut accidents in the intersections by 50 percent? Dig a little deeper. They had to redefine what an "intersection" was to cut the size of the area to make that claim. Why? Because after folks got wise to the cameras, they started imbedding the brake pedal in the floor when a light went yellow. This led to a dramatic increase in "rear ender" accidents. Of course when you redefine what an intersection is correctly, these accidents are no longer within the intersection. Clever huh? The list goes on.
Anyone who thinks red light cameras are about anything other than revenue generation have their heads so far up their backsides you'll probably never be able to extract it.
That being said, I somewhat like red light cameras if for no other reason than it's a "tax of choice" that's fairly easy to avoid. Voters here in Houston just threw out the cameras within the city limits -- now the politicians are in a desperate scramble to find out how they're going to replace the lost revenue with other taxes and fees......
