When Does Your Xmas Decorations Go UP?

Yeah, yeah I know, it's too early for Xmas decorations, but my wife loves to see the her Xmas decorations up by thanks giving so I went ahead and put them up for her.....well......"for us".

We prefer to start Xmas decorations the first week of November and get it out of the way.

Just thought I'd share what I've done this year.

When does your Xmas decoration go up, share with us some of your Xmas decorations?

.......Where should I put the tree this year?.....

Here will be fine I think.

Yeah....that looks good......I...think....

Time for the ornaments.

OKAY!!! All done!

Can't compete with that village!

The three days after turkey day are spent decorating our house.....

Wow, the train garden looks great! I got my exterior decorations finished last night and started on the interior. Please excuse the crappy phone pic that I took last night, I'll post some better ones soon. I also started on my train garden this past weekend. I'll also post some pics of that too once it's done, but it's gonna take me a few weeks. The platform alone is two 4x8 sheets of plywood and there will be a top level once it's all done. I REALLY get into the Christmas decorations. My house won "most traditional" last year in my community. Besides that huge oak tree wrapped in the standard lights, my house is decorated with the old skool C9 bulbs. I don't get into all that expensive blow up decoration crap. For some reason that stuff just looks tacky to me.

Love the village! I have one too but on a smaller scale.

My decorations go up the first weekend in December.

100% agreed there.

Ugly pieces of crap if you ask me. If you want to decorate your house, put some effort into it.

Exactly! That's what bothers me about those things. There is no creativity or effort to them. Just run a cord to em' and stake em' down. Most people can't understand why I'm bothered by the blow up decorations, glad some of my fellow f150 members can relate.

Oh, we're supposed to decorate!?! Lol, jk...OG, your decorations look awesome!!! We usually put up our tree the day after Thanksgiving. As far as outdoor decorations, I usually don't bother with them at home. We go camping for Christmas every year so I decorate there. Besides, I live way out in no mans land so no one would see em anyway. But, for the lake I get to buy a huge, fluffy REAL tree, and I put up lights and decorations at the lake and we have a traditional Christmas dinner (cooked in my very own camper) with all the trimmings! It's my favorite holiday!!! I must admit though, I do have a few "blow-up" decorations...just makes packing all that crap a lil easier! lol
