New option for the F series

Found this on a finance message board.

Ford news www.ford.com

Ford announced today that it will begin offering an optional rear bumper for their F series trucks. The bumper is designed to “ accept most Toyota front bumpers” . Bill Ford was quoted as saying “ we believe this new optional bumper will greatly enhance the safety of all motorists on the open highways”.

Bill Ford was referring to the number of F series trucks that have been used to pull in front of out of control accelerating Toyota's and slow them to a stop. He went on to say that the new bumper would better fit the front bumpers of Toyota and keep them from veering right an left while the slow down occurs.

Toyota has been mailing “ what to do in case of sudden lose of control of your Toyota” pamphlets to customer who have purchased a Toyota in the past. The pamphlet goes on to say that they should look for the closest F series truck in front of them and begin honking your horn and wave your arms to get the trucks owners attention. Then steer towards the Ford and try to match bumpers to begin the slowdown maneuver. Toyota goes on to say that this maneuver should not be attempted with any Toyota or other foreign made truck due to the possible after effects to other motorists from the scrap metal, plastic and rubber bands that could occur from the impact.

I think I am going to put my 2-5/16 hitch back in just to make sure if a Tundra hits me they won't be driving away afterwards.

I always have my hitch in for that reason. Right after my dad got his 07 a guy rear ended him. Didn't hurt my dads truck at all but smashed the front of the the car up.
