nice numbers but shouldnt the graph start higher at 2K rpms? unless you have a 4K stall converter?

how much boost are you running?

jbrew 11-21-2010 12:20 AM

Nice man, did you get a new tune?

Patman 11-21-2010 12:24 AM

10# lower pulley (+2), the truck has to lock 3rd gear in and not downshift, on my truck that happens about 2800rpm or more. It spun the dyno to 140mph in 3rd before they backed off. In the video you can kind of see the tires balloon a little bit, looked worse in person

Thanks man, now I understand why the 8.8 cried wolf every time.

ONELOWF 11-21-2010 11:48 AM

Great numbers!

Video? What video?

dirt bike dave 11-21-2010 12:00 PM

Nice numbers.

Looks like the power comes on very strong about 3,800 rpm. You appear to gain 140 hp between between 3,800 and 4,050 rpm.

Better have the truck pointed straight when you hit 3,800 rpm, lol.

when I left, I stabbed it in first at ~25, next thing I heard is rev limiter and then 2nd.
at 3800, if was straight it may not be by the time I hit 4500 ;)

Its also too bad the video cant express the deafening roar. People told me every time they ripped on it, they couldnt hear themselves talk.

str8t six 11-21-2010 04:22 PM

oh ok, what gears you running now? i know you were on 4.88's with those 35's before the swap.

your not running 20# of boost are you? i dont think the Heaton would like that!!

your truck is definitely loud! everybody was holding their ears!

Klitch 11-21-2010 04:26 PM

still 3.73's in the 1-tons, waiting on extra cash to buy master install kits for the 4.56's I found.

no no, only 10# boost, the eaton piddles off at 17 supposedly anyway lol.

I guess my brother was talking to our friend, then he couldn't even hear his own voice

str8t six 11-21-2010 04:31 PM

when i read 10# lower (+2), im thinking 10# plus the stock lightning boost, then a +2# upper

Klitch 11-21-2010 04:32 PM

lol no, I dont think the trans would like me much.

str8t six 11-21-2010 04:34 PM

i wonder if you will gain some HP with the 4.56's?

Klitch 11-21-2010 04:39 PM

Definitely gonna feel like it, instead of being able to hit 140 in 3rd
