Electric Shavers?

My old Norelco electric razor crapped out on me after. It held up pretty good. I prefer a wet shave, but it's nice having the electric too. So, I'm in the market for a new one. There are a million options now compared to when I bought one 8 years ago. What do yall use? Brand and model?

I use a Panasonic - Pro-Curve Men's Triple Blade Shaver - Black (model: ES7103K)... I've had it for about a year, and no problems. I can shave a beard that has had 2 weeks of growth. Plus you can rinse it in water, or if you want, you can use it in the shower.

I don't clean mine that often, I just wait until the head fills with clippings and then clean it. It takes me about 2 months before it needs to be cleaned. Although, I'm not quite sure if that is good for the cutters. Then again, it still cuts like brand new.

I've used Brauns and Norelcos in the past, and never had much luck with them. They either break, or constantly needed cutters. My Panasonic has never given me grief. Plus it's relatively cheap.

The other plus is the fact that it has a LCD display telling you how much charge is left. The only con is that you can't shave while it is plugged in. But you can get by plugging it in for 5 minutes to get a quick shave.

I used electric razors for years. Norelco and Remington. Then one Christmas I got a shaving mug, soap, and a Schick Quatro. I can use a set of titanium blades for a month. I think they sell for $18 for six blades.
The comparison to the shave between the electric and the blades, well there is no comparison. The Quatro does a lot better job of removing whiskers and I shave my head also.
Electric razors last for a couple of years for @ $150. I only buy Quatro blades now and threw out the electrics.

I used to shave daily with the electrics. Now with the Quatro, once every two days and on the second day my whiskers feel like I just shaved with my old Norelco.

I paid $25 for a Norelco thirtyfive years ago.
I sent it as a gift for my granddad who was in a Home.
He never got it, most likely stolen by the staff.

I couldn't afford to replace it and that left me with a bad taste for the product.
I've had no truck with them ever since.

I hate electric razors. Just me though. I use a Gillette Fusion.

Gillette Fusion is by far the best razor I've ever used.

I use a Gillete Fusion also. I use it every morning before I hop in the shower. The electric razor was nice for that second shave before going out at night or quick shaves on the go.

I never liked the electric razors, because they never seemed to cut close enough. I tried the Fusion, but it seemed to clog up a lot, and I also had a lot of problems with ingrown hairs (I think the "Lift and cut" action makes this worse.) It also felt a lot like dragging a piece of raw meat against my face. It did give a really close shave, though.

A couple years ago I get the last razor I'll ever buy:

The blades are ridiculously cheap (20 cents apiece at Dollar General, but I splurge and pay 60 cents for an imported Japanese blade).

If you want to get an opinion from folks who take their shaving way too seriously, head over to http://www.badgerandblade.com/.
