Fanthom MOD deletions
Does the tike look like you or me?
Checks in the mail. Snell mail can take awhile though, you may want to get the rocking chair out for the wait.
Habibi likes the closet pretty much I guess. He don't seem to like me very much
I just don't know how anyone couldn't like me
Have a great day

Your post assumes that all of the MODs are right of center. We all know that's not true. There is at least one MOD who is left of center, who has in the past deleted threads, and also signatures. If you don't know who deleted the thread, though we now know it was not Rockpick, how can you know that it's someone who would silence discussion about the "Tea Party"?
How many other threads discussing the "Tea Party" have been deleted by these "extreme right" MODs?
It seems like when you are confronted with facts, logic and a reasonable arguement you counter by accusing others of doing what you are doing.
The woman in the YouTube apparently did go too far. She's admitted it, and is no longer going to take the position on West's team. I don't hear anyone saying that they want to use guns to remedy the problems they see in our government. I don't think that anyone wants to. There are times when it is necessary to defend yourself from a tyrannical government. What I hear people saying is that after exhausing all efforts to petition the government for a redress of grievances, the choices would be submission or armed defense. Which would you choose if you had to?

THIS JUST IN!
The hampster party has hired Jimmy Mcmillan to form "the Hampster is too damn high party". They seek donations in the form of cheez-its and wood shavings.
This aughta shut them darn Canadians up about American politics.

Fanthom MOD deletes thread without explanation. (Youtube of Tea Party Woman chatting with constituents in a public forum.)
This is new to me, has the administration of this Board always worked that way? I always thought there would be official words of advice so it doesn't become a recurring event. One can't correct errors in judgment if no light is shed on the deletion.

OK, just to set things straight. The thread in question was closed by me and had nothing to do with the political subject matter. Habibi, it was closed due to your post that contained a direct insult of another member and that post being quoted several times. Had I removed posts, the thread would have been so butchered it would have not made sense. In light of that and my feeling that the thread was going nowhere good as well as the likelihood that some would end up with vacations, I closed it.
The nasty insults will not be tolerated.
Edit: There was no explanation for closing as I assumed if you guys were as smart as you try to be in your digs at each other, you would already know why it was closed.

This is why I posted the site TOU early in this thread.
RP, thanks for straightening out my spelling error, and other clarifying points.
Blue, Thanks for stepping forward and setting the record straight.
Not that it matters one iota, but I'm fine with all of it.
Thanks,
john

I kinda figured that was the reason it was deleted when I couldn't find the thread the next day.
Every single one of you defended her yesterday and said she didnt do anything wrong, all while attmepting to nail me to the wall for having the nerve to post it up.
Of course she went too far, and hence the reason I posted the video clip of her outragious behaviour.
However, there wasn't a peep from you or anyone else saying what she did was wrong yesterday when I posted the clip. (and that's the sad part of it all)
All of you (you included wit) stayed silent about the off-the-wall remarks she said, and not one of you guys were able to admit that she crossed the line.
Sure you did today, but not yesterday when everyone was jumping on the tea party bandwagon defending her and saying she didnt do anything wrong.
How's your memory from yesterday? Here's this lunatic (and I make no apologies if my choice of words offends anyone) because anyone who has the nerve to say "if we dont win in the upcoming elections, im going to take up arms and take my government back"...is indeed a lunatic and fanatic.
"I'll try the democratic process first, and if that route doesnt work, then ill gather the masses and start shooting people." <--- That's what she was advocting and you didn't have a problem with it yesterday.
Just to recap, and keep one thing in mind, yesterday we wernt privy to the fact that she removed herself from the position, we only know this now.
She said and urged everyone that if the tea party did not win last week to take up arms and take the fight to the street.
Here's the link again:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VB7g3...layer_embedded
and here's the text version of what she said just to refresh your memory:
And then the Founding Fathers were ever so brilliant -- and I don't care how this gets painted by the mainstream media, I don't care if this shows up on YouTube, because I am convinced that the most important thing the Founding Fathers did to ensure me my First Amendment rights was they gave a Second Amendment. (Cheering.) And if ballots don't work, bullets will."
When I say I'll put my microphone down on November 2nd if we haven't achieved substantial victory, I mean it. Because if at that point, I"m gonna go up into the hills of Kentucky, I'm gonna go out into the Midwest, I'm gonna go up in the Vermont and New Hampshire outreaches, and I'm gonna gather together men and women who understand that some things are worth fighting for -- and some things are worth dying for."
Also, she only 'removed' herself because her stupid remarks brought so much bad publicity onto her that any politicain who wants to be taken seriously could never align themselves with some wing-nut like that.
Imagine that someone holds a fair and democratic election, and because they lose fair and square she advoctes taking up arms against the government, and yesterday every single one of you defended her and said she did nothing wrong, and most sided with her. Remember labnerds rant when he blew a gasket saying he was going to join her?
The only person who actually stood up and said what she did was wrong was serota and the rest of you stayed silent and that's a crying shame.
There's no law against being hypocrites, its ok if thats what you are, but dont deny being one because some of you guys do it so well.
Hopefully my post didnt cross any lines and doesnt warrant being removed.
Habs
I also urge anyone to refute what I said by using logical and sound arguments, save your name calling for the school yard.

Things haven't gotten to the point of revolt. But our system of government is designed to hold politicians accountable. The Tea Party is doing just that.
The lady may have gone a little too far and miss worded her statement. But our government is supposed to fear the people, not the people fear the government.
She was pointing out that we have taxation without representation. Our forefathers lived through that, and worded the document accordingly
