Taurus Transmissions
How many years did the taurus have issues with their transmissions in general?
Guy I work with is lookin at a 96, for $1000. I told him I think the 96' was close to the end of the transmission woe's year range, but not outside of it. Am I off?

They had transmission problems up into the 2000's. The AX4N is the better of the transmissions but still not bullet proof from what I understand. My Taurus has the AX4N and it is pretty tough, I've beat the living snot out of it and there's nothing wrong with it.
