I have been spending ALOT of time here recently at the Office Depot not far from home. Voluntarily making copies for my mom who has 10 days to copy 42 bankers boxes. Anyway, today, some *** hat decides to hit my truck and run while in the parking lot. What an effeing Douche. I had my G26 and would have shot him if I had the chance (Once he decided to run, and yes Don't tell me I was wrong to think that cuz you would have thought it too). At least I did have a witness (Got a vehicle and driver description but no tag #) but damn, I was laid off last Wednesday to a company closing down thanks to two asshats there, now this. My family is really struggling with a tough time right now. Just, what an ***.

This is a prayer request for him. Please pray I never catch this man.

It's not that bad, but would have been better if he would have man uped and taken responsiblity for him self. Gonna cost me $250 out of pocket for the deductable.
We were parked side by side in a strip of one-way parking, he decided he would back out and go the other way so he clipped me with the front passenger side of his van.

That sucks.

Between the lay off, hit and run and having to copy 42 banker boxes of stuff, you are having it rough, that's for sure!

FWIW, on the copying issue, we have Fujitsu Scansnap S150 scanner and it is the bomb. Extremely fast document scanner. Get one of those, scan to .pdf and print at your convenience. That way, you can leave the truck in the garage where it's safe, and probably save your mom some big $ on copying expenses.

 

Man that sucks, Did you see him do this? If so i think i wouldve had to jump in the truck and chased him down while on the phone with the cops. Atleast you do have full coverage even though its 250 bucks but couldve been alot worse. Good Luck

Well, I did not see the guy. A woman saw it and I was standing near the front door when she came in and told the cashier. I heard her and thought "With the damn week I'm having and knowing I parked AWAY from other people, It has to be mine". It was and the guy was gone.

I already checked the surrounding businesses for cameras. Only waiting on one to get back to me. Waiting on their LP dept for review.

At least we are down to a few boxes to copy. We have worked pretty hard and consistent to do it.

 

Ouch. Be glad you only have to pay a deductable. Box damage isn't cheap.

You see... the thing that stinks is that once you claim it on the insurance, it counts as an "accident" on the vehicle history, which severerly diminishes trade in value of the truck. Unless you don't care and planning on keeping the truck until it really isn't worth anything, can really be a pickle at the time when you want something else.

My buddy had his truck hit the 2nd day after he owned it, pretty much in the same spot in a parking lot. Some idiot was chit-chatting on his cell phone and realized that his truck "popped" out of nowhere. The other guy paid for the damages out of his insurance, but my buddy's complaint to the other guy's insurance company was, "This counts as an accident on the truck's history, and now it is going to diminish trade in value." The insurance company basically fluffed it off and told him, "It's your problem, we paid to have it fixed." Whatta crock.

Seems as if you can't win in this world.

I got into work today and my coworker was heated. Apparently someone threw a TV(not a flat screen either) at their car last night and it damaged a door they just replaced because someone else swiped them there. If that happened to me, I would crush the guys head under the TV. People have such little respect for others vehicles. If someone so much as put the tiniest mark on my car and I was nearby, lord knows I would jump onto the front of their car and tell the cops "I was walking across the street officer, when this person pulled out without a blinker. I thought they were turning the other way since I couldn't see the light flashing on my side. I don't even think she hit the brakes! Can I go sit down, as my back is starting to bother me."
